Filiph Johansson (Sound recordist) and Lea Gamula (Production manager)  has joined the Puss-jage crew.

Pre production

The images pictures some of the cloths that Jacinta will use to sew a map for the title sequence. The model plane was created by Jacinta for another project and she will make something similar for Puss-jage.

At the moment we are casting children for "Puss-jage". It is our second weekend and we have met with a lot of talented young actors.

BARNSKÅDESPELARE I GÖTEBORG SÖKES TILL KORTFILM 

Filmskaparen Sofia Åström castar barnskådespelare till kortfilmen “Puss-jage”, som hon regisserar och producerar. 

Jag letar efter flickor och pojkar 8-10 år och tjejer 14 år.

”Puss-jage” handlar om åtta åriga Signe som börjar en ny skola i Sverige efter att ha bott utomlands med sin familj i flera år. I den nya skolan är allting annorlunda från hennes gamla skola och Signe sticker ut från mängden i sin röda dunjacka och med sin asiatiskt broderade ryggsäck.

Filmen kommer att vara ca 12 minuter lång och vi spelar in i Rävlanda under två helger i början av december. Produktionen står för mat och resekostnader, men då det är en liten budget kan ingen lön erbjudas.

Color palette

"In the movie we are going to use colors in a deliberate way that help us tell the story of Signe.  The idea is to show that Signe does not fit in with her new classmates by letting her be the only one that wear the color red. These are some tests that Jacinta did as a step to help us decide on the palette for the different characters". - Sofia Åström

I thought of keeping a very eastern vibrant, deep colour palette for Signe

with more bleached out, pale colours for her classmates and Swedish environment.

Melker

And Merkel is slightly more vibrant than his classmates, because he's in between Signe and the rest of the class. 

Mum and Filippa

I thought Signe's family could have similar colours to her but in lighter shades, to signify that they are also new to the place but are having less of a hard time fitting in

VISUAL DEVELOPMENT and MODEL-MAKER JACINTA JARDINE
Jacinta Jardine is a multidisciplinary visual artist, a film maker and animator, a costume designer and a production designer. In June 2010 she completed a degree in Visual Arts Practice with first class honours from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology, Dublin. Most recently Jacinta has been working on an innovative aerial show for the Dublin Fringe Festival 2011 called PaperDolls.
