"In the movie we are going to use colors in a deliberate way that help us tell the story of Signe. The idea is to show that Signe does not fit in with her new classmates by letting her be the only one that wear the color red. I thought of keeping a very eastern vibrant, deep colour palette for Signe
Classmates
with more bleached out, pale colours for her classmates and Swedish environment.
Melker
And Merkel is slightly more vibrant than his classmates, because he's in between Signe and the rest of the class.
Mum and Filippa
I thought Signe's family could have similar colours to her but in lighter shades, to signify that they are also new to the place but are having less of a hard time fitting in
